La Cañada Junior Women’s Club stages egg hunt at local Ronald McDonald House

Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Pasadena so they can be near their critically ill children being treated at area hospitals were invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt on April 15, courtesy of the La Cañada Junior Women’s Club.

“It was a wonderful event,” stated Rayni Peavy, who handles publicity for the Juniors. She reports that about 10 youngsters received Easter baskets created by the members of the club and their own children. The Easter eggs featured in the hunt were filled with candy and treats. After the hunt was over, the Juniors made everyone root beer floats. “It was a fun and festive afternoon for everyone,” Peavy said.

The Ronald McDonald House is one of the philanthropies of the La Cañada club, which also lends a hand to Five Acres. To learn more about membership in the organization, visit www.lcjwc.org.
