Author fields questions at One City One Book event
Those gathered for the annual La Cañada Flintridge One City One Book event, held Nov. 6 at the public library, had the opportunity to meet featured author Aline Ohanesian, who was interviewed during a question-and-answer session by filmmaker Carla Garapedian.
In addition to providing a look into Ohanesian’s process as she wrote this year’s selected novel, “Orhan’s Inheritance,” which centers on the Armenian Genocide, the audience of about 130 people heard the two women speak of the ongoing denial by the Turkish government of the early 20th-century extermination of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians.

La Cañada resident Elza Gross introduced the featured guests to the crowd, which was well-prepared with questions for the author. Afterward, Ohanesian signed copies of her book.
