Local guild plans dining-out fundraiser for Orthopaedic Institute for Children

Share

As part of its ongoing work raising funds in support of the Orthopaedic Institute for Children, the La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild is holding a dining out fundraiser at Mijare’s Mexican Restaurant from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25. Diners who would like to join the effort need only tell their server they are there for the guild’s fundraiser and a percentage of all bar, take-out and dine-in receipts will be directed to the group.

LCF Orthopaedic Guild recently completed its $100,000 pledge to the institute and is currently raising money for the renovation of the urgent care area in the Lowman Building at the downtown Los Angeles campus, where more than 35,000 children are admitted to the institute annually.

Details of the upcoming fundraiser at Mijare’s were discussed at the guild’s April meeting, held at the La Cañada home of Elinor Bunn. Guild member Marie Baker is chairing the event, assisted by Easy Delaney, Maria Gero and Judith McClure.

Mijare’s Mexican Restaurant is located at 145 Palmetto Drive, Pasadena. Any woman interested in more information about the work of the LCF Orthopaedic Guild can contact Membership Chair Marie Gilhooly at (818) 489-2876.
