Thursday Club opens scholarship applications

Graduating high school seniors who live in the city of La Cañada Flintridge or attend schools in this city are invited to apply for scholarships offered through the La Cañada Thursday Club Foundation.

Applications can be found online at lacanadathursdayclub.org and must be filed with the club by 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, in accordance with directions found at the website.

The Foundation Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academic achievement, community service and potential for success. The Denise Greenawalt Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, triumph over an obstacle, hardship or extenuating circumstance and potential for success.

The scholarship winners will be introduced to the club during a tea meeting this spring.
