La Cañada Thursday Club’s college scholarship applications coming up

Graduating high school seniors who reside in or attend school in La Cañada Flintridge are invited to apply for a college scholarship through the La Cañada Thursday Club, the organization announced this week. The deadline to apply for one of the awards is Friday, March 4.

Students are selected for one of the club’s general scholarships based on academic achievement, community service and the potential for success. There is also a Greenawalt Scholarship, named for the late Denise Greenawalt, that is awarded to students who have maintained academic standards while overcoming a life obstacle.
