With a nod to the Land of Oz, La Cañada Elementary School will hold its 29th annual Halloween Haunt fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 22 on the school’s playground at 4540 Encinas Drive. Hours for the festival are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Children from preschool age up to sixth grade are invited to enter the costume and pumpkin-carving contests, which begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Game booths, inflatables, a rock wall, face painting and the Spooky Sales and prize booths will enchant the kids.

Jewelry, gift items, fitness experiences, gift certificates, and popular toys and gadgets will also fill the silent auction tent.

Food, including Korean barbecue, and sweet treats will be available for purchase.
