Share

The trails at Joshua Tree National Park beckoned Boy Scout Troop 501 for the weekend of Dec. 9 through 11. The young men did rock climbing, desert orienteering, competed in a cooking contest, enjoyed campfires and held a formal retirement of an American flag under the stars.

The troop is affiliated with La Cañada Congregational Church and will mark its 100th anniversary in 2019.
