Janssen Van De Yacht and Andrew Krause, both eighth-grade students at St. Bede School, were recently recognized by the St. Bede Parish Italian Catholic Federation Branch 374 for the service they’ve given to their school and community.

Both are active Boy Scouts and are altar servers at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church.

Presenting awards to the two boys was Jack DeZell, president of ICF Branch 374.

The annual service award program was initiated three years ago by Branch 374 past presidents, Mark Mannarelli and Al Restivo. Mannarelli serves as program coordinator.

In other St. Bede news, the church recently hosted a special Mass and installation of officers attended by approximately 150 officers and members representing 20 branches of the ICF throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The installation ceremony was followed by a luncheon held in the Parish Hall. St. Bede’s pastor, the Rev. Msgr. Antonio Cacciapuoti, archdiocesan director of the organization, celebrated the Mass and participated in the installation.
