The Valley Line: Chamber mixer draws business owners

Share

Oh, my goodness! I just couldn’t believe that raindrops were falling on my head last week. I don’t think the weather people from various TV stations could believe it, either. Our area set records for being so cool in September.

But then we couldn’t get too settled in with that cozy weather because by the weekend we were cooking in high 90-degree heat. I wonder what we’ll be in for next week.

Last Thursday evening, the staff at Harcourts Crown Jewel, a real estate firm, played host for the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce mixer at its Foothill Boulevard office. Greeting guests was Dawna Thibodeau, who leads the staff at the LCF corporate headquarters for the Australian-based company.

Other Harcourts staff there to say hello to guests were Michael Bax, Melissa O’Hara, Erica King and Blake Thibodeau.

Robin Siefert, owner of Etc. Gourmet Kitchen in Montrose, catered the event. Her food is always delicious and she is such an imaginative cook with fabulous menu offerings. Assisting her that evening was Thomas Farmer.

There was a great turnout at the mixer and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful, chatty time, catching up on local business news.
