Local Taekwondo students win 18 medals at junior national championship

Local students representing Master’s Taekwondo Club collected an impressive array of medals Oct. 8 when they competed in the 2016 Junior Taekwondo Championship held at Azusa Pacific University.

The youngsters who study at the club come from La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Montrose and Glendale. They walked away with a total of 11 gold, four silver and three bronze medals in sparring and form competition. More than 800 competitors from 120 schools participated in the championship.
