Small Acts Big Change, a nonprofit based in La Cañada Flintridge that encourages youngsters to get involved in the community by doing acts of kindness and service, recently received a monetary donation from Gelson’s Markets to further its work.

Tim Mahoney, senior director of store operations for Gelson’s Markets, presented the gift check to Small Acts Big Change officials.

“We are extremely excited to receive this grant from Gelson’s Markets to support and increase our services and reach in our local community,” said Carolyn Dundee, Small Acts Big Change executive director. “At Small Acts Big Change, we believe that children who learn the importance of giving back at an early age will adopt kindness and service as a way of life for their entire lives.”
