Cassini manager to join Les Tupper ceremony

The manager of the Cassini program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. Earl H. Maize, will be the featured speaker next month when the Coordinating Council holds its annual Les Tupper community service awards ceremony.

Maize is is a longtime La Cañada resident who has worked at JPL for 32 years, first as a member of the navigation and engineering teams for the Galileo mission to Jupiter. He later joined the Cassini team as Spacecraft Operations manager, then deputy program manager. He left the Cassini project for an eight-year period, during which he held management positions in Guidance, Navigation, and Control and Avionics. In January 2013 he returned to Cassini as program manager.

The public is invited to hear Maize speak at the event, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10, in von Karman Auditorium at JPL. For more information about the Coordinating Council, visit lcfcc.info.
