Burglary, commercial: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard. A business owner reported that sometime around 4 a.m. that day, someone pried open the front door of his business and attempted to steal a safe. He received an alarm activation on his cellphone, which connects to a surveillance camera system at the business.

Seeing no movement or signs of a break-in on his phone, he thought it was a false alarm. But when he arrived at his business at 9:30 a.m., he noticed the front door had been pried open.

Surveillance footage shows two suspects dressed in black entering the front door and attempting to move the safe before being scared off by the alarm.

The suspects are described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, up to 6 feet in height and with a thin to medium build, and a black female in her 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with medium build. Both were wearing white gloves. Video footage showed the man carrying a crowbar.
