Former senior management analyst Carl Alameda has been named La Cañada’s new director of administration, replacing Kevin Chun, who left last month to take an assistant city manager position in the city of Paramount.

On Monday, the City Council supported several measures intended to reorganize the Administration Department, including the creation of a new part-time administrative technician position, at a net savings of $10,800.

Alameda’s former position remains vacant until a replacement can be found. In staff member comments Monday, City Manager Mark Alexander welcomed Alameda to the new position.
