Letter: Fond memories of Frank Beemer

Re: “LCE remembers late teacher Frank Beemer,” Dec. 24. Great story on Mr. Beemer. I grew up in La Cañada right around the corner from LCE and went through the La Cañada schools from kindergarten to senior at La Cañada High School (Class of ’79).

I had Mr. Beemer for a teacher in fifth grade. I always remember his kindness and enthusiasm, also his playing the guitar! I looked him up in the mid-’90s and called him when he was living in La Crescenta. He was very surprised to hear from me!
