Mailbag: Let the future have a say

Re: “Portantino wants to put Obama on local map,” Dec. 29. Before agreeing to name anything public after anyone who is currently serving in an office (and did not donate millions of dollars for it) let’s first let future years tell us what kind of legacy he or she really left.
