Mailbag: Too much open space?
Re: “La Cañada officials agree to buy former Sport Chalet HQ,” Jan. 26. There’s a saying in science that “nature abhors a vacuum.” There’s also a similar saying that “bureaucracies abhor a vacuum.”
City Hall is moving from an admittedly cramped 7,160-square-foot facility to a new one of 27,881 square feet. Let us hope that City Manager Mark Alexander doesn’t feel obligated to fill this “vacuum” with more bureaucrats.
