Sports Roundup: Flintridge Prep volleyball off to 2-0 start

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Flintridge Prep 3, Brentwood 0: The host Rebels (2-0) picked up a 25-15, 25-19, 25-13 nonleague win Thursday.

AJ Nicassio finished with 15 kills and five aces for Flintridge Prep, which received seven kills and four aces from Garrett Gaines and six kills and three blocks from Majeed Ismail.

Alemany 3, St. Francis 0: St. Francis suffered a 25-11, 25-21, 25-9 Mission League road defeat Thursday. The Golden Knights dipped to 1-1 in league.

La Cañada 106, Burroughs 55: The Spartans opened their season Thursday afternoon with a nonleague victory at home.

La Cañada 127, Burroughs 37: The Spartans rolled to a nonleague victory Thursday afternoon at home to open their season.
