Sports Roundup: La Cañada, Flintridge Prep boys’ hoops win at shootout

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

La Cañada 74, Los Osos 69: The Spartans picked up a nonleague win Saturday afternoon in the Southern California Shootout at Azusa Pacific University.

Sean Estes led the way for La Cañada (18-4) with 30 points, while Patric Panoosi added 15 points, Justin Kouyoumadjiam tallied 14 points and eight assists and Ryan Graves chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds.

Flintridge Prep 67, Alta Loma 53: The Rebels picked up a nonleague victory Saturday morning in the Southern California Shootout at Azusa Pacific University.

Jake Althouse scored a team-high 25 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks for Flintridge Prep (6-7), while Kendall Kikkawa added 13 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Jonny Samuels tallied 13 points and seven rebounds.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Louisville 43, Flintridge Sacred Heart 36: The Tologs were competitive but fell in a Mission League road contest Saturday afternoon.

Camilla Homans led Flintridge Sacred Heart (7-14, 0-4 in league) with 11 points, while Janna deVera added eight points.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Flintridge Prep 11, Firebaugh 0: Helen Schaefer had three goals and an assist and Julia Gonzalez had two goals and three assists in Friday’s Prep League blowout win at Maranatha.

Mona Cesario had two goals and an assist and Molly Scott had two goals also for the Rebels (16-3-3, 5-1-1 in league). Mikaela Celeste had a goal and an assist and Caitlin Fong notched a goal.
