When asked how people were coping with the loss, she replied that “This is a community that is very supportive of each other.”

She said all school events planned for this weekend have been canceled.

Sinnette said security personnel posted on campus all weekend to prevent people from accessing the site of the incident.

She said counseling will be made available to all students and staff beginning on Monday. The district is also coordinating with Verdugo Hills Hospital to assist people who might want counseling over the weekend.
