La Cañada companies display their goods at Business Expo
From rocket makers to cookie bakers, about 60 local businesses and organizations set up booths at Verdugo Hills Hospital on Wednesday for the ninth annual Foothills Community Business Expo.
Attendees were fortunate to be able to sample the wares from an array of local food purveyors — sweets from Ocean View Boulevard bakeries Berolina and Baked, burgers from north La Cañada newcomer North Shore Burgers and clam chowder from Leo’s All-Star Bar & Grill in Montrose, among them.
Firms ranging from 5,000-employee Jet Propulsion Laboratory to Barbara Marshall’s State Farm Insurance office were on hand
The Crescenta-Canada Family YMCA and the Crescenta-Canada Pet Hospital, both of which are launching remodels, had representatives present to talk to members of the public.
The event was organized by the La Canada Flintridge, Montrose/Verdugo and La Crescenta chambers of commerce.
