Area 1: 3100 block of Foothill Boulevard: Albert Montoya, 62 of Burbank, was arrested and booked on Dec. 10 on suspicion of burglary and bringing a controlled substance into a jail after witnesses identified him as having tried to steal $300 worth of power tools form the Orchard Supply Hardware store and deputies found methamphetamine in his possession at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. Montoya is suspected of cutting through the fence around the nursery.

Foothill Boulevard: Jason Thomas, 37, of Lake View Terrace, was cited for possession of marijuana Dec. 10 after he was stopped for driving without license plates.

2700 block Prospect Avenue: Dustin Ching, 24 of Sunland, was cited Dec. 9 for possession of marijuana after he was pulled over for expired registration. Ching said he believed the small amount of pot deputies found in a prescription bottle was left in his car by a friend.

Foothill Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue: David Soussa and Demetrious Vorgias, both 25 and both of La Cañada Flintridge, were cited Dec. 12 for possession of marijuana after a deputy noticed neither of the men was wearing seatbelts while driving along Rosemont.

Area 2

4400 block of Vista Place: Two flat-screen televisions, four Apple laptop computers and a video projector were reported stolen from a home between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. The property was valued at $8,950. A dining-room window was smashed to gain access to the home.

4000 block of Palm Drive: A flat-screen television, video camera and laptop computer were reported stolen from a home between 9 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 8. The property was valued at $1,900. There were signs of forced entry through the house’s rear door.

4900 block of Indianola Way: A holiday sleigh decoration was damaged and a large stuffed animal was stolen on Dec. 10 from the roof of a home. Security camera footage is under review. The damaged sleigh and stolen stuffed animal were valued at $550.

4800 block of Hampton Road: A flat-screen television worth $1,300 was stolen between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 from a home into which entry was made through a window above a kitchen sink.

Foothill Boulevard and Hillard Avenue: Luis Escalante, 25 of Altadena, was cited for failing to signal prior to a lane change and driving without a license around 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 11.
