Letter: Parking is closed to farmers market

The La Cañada Farmers’ Market is moving to Memorial Park on the north side of Foothill Boulevard.

Therefore the owners of the parking lots at 1340-1346 Foothill Blvd., Descanso Medical Plaza, L.L.C. are using this move to completely repossess their private-property parking lots. No farmers market vendors or customers are permitted access to this private property as of Sept. 27, 2014.

As owners, our responsibility is first and foremost to protect and uphold the rights of our tenants, their patients and clients, for which they are paying.

Should the farmers’ market move back to the Caltrans lot after construction ends, parking on this private property will continue to be off-limits to either farmers’ market vendors or customers.

Our private-property parking lots have been posted since long before the current owners acquired the property. All nonpatient vehicles are subject to being towed.
