Ing named head of cardiology division at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

Frank F. Ing, MD of La Cañada Flintridge, director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, has been named the new co-director of the hospital’s heart institute and chief of its cardiology division.

Ing began his work at Children’s Hospital in 2012. He was previously the director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.

“Dr. Ing is an internationally renowned interventional cardiologist who is at the forefront of developing technologies, programs and procedures for less invasive approaches to treating our pediatric patients,” Brent Polk, MD, physician in chief and chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the hospital, stated in a news release announcing Ing’s new appointments.

Ing is also a professor of clinical pediatrics in the Division of Cardiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
