Three weeks after leaving La Cañada Flintridge on his motorcycle, Bob Burlison has made it through more than a dozen states.

The lawyer and longtime Kiwanis Club of La Cañada-AM member is set to arrive in Florida this week as part of a three-month-long tour of Kiwanis clubs in support of the Eliminate Project, according to his blog.

The Eliminate Project supports the thousands of children and mothers who die from maternal and neonatal tetanus every year. The project is an effort by Kiwanis and UNICEF. Burlison left on May 27.

Since then, he has ridden more than 2,700 miles, visiting Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Kansas, Mississippi and several other states. His goal is to break a Guinness World Record and ride more than 11,200 miles in one country.

Burlison has detailed his experiences in a regularly updated blog at https://www.kure2013.com/blog. Last week, he described the Germantown Kiwanis Club in Memphis as “a wonderfully active, funny, intelligent and respectful club.”
