GIRLS’ GOLF

Westridge 205, Mayfield 308: It was a record-setting day for the Tigers, as Jackie Pai tied the school-record score of one-over-par 36 and led an overall school-record team score in Thursday’s Montview League match at Altadena Golf Course. Gabby Chan carded a 41, Allegra Gutierrez shot a 43, Rachel Fishman shot a 45 and Sarah Jane Stephens shot a 50 for Westridge (9-2, 7-2 in league). Pai tied the team record matched earlier this year by Niamh James and originally set in 2008 by Sachiye Daye.

On Tuesday, Westridge defeated Gabrielino, 242-274, and Mayfield, 242-282, in a league tri-match at Brookside Golf Course No. 2. James carded a five-over-par 41, while Westridge received a 46 from Chen. Sophie Brakos led Mayfield with a 42.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Pasadena Poly 10, Chadwick 8: Victoria Morgan and Elissa Boghosian of Pasadena Poly swept their doubles sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-1, in a Prep League home match at Caltech on Friday. It marked the first time since 2006 that the Panthers (9-3, 2-2 in league) defeated the Dolphins.

San Marino 17, La Canada 1: The Titans remained perfect in the Rio Hondo League with a home win Thursday afternoon. The No. 1 doubles team of Vivian Le and Larissa Phillips and No. 2 doubles of Michelle Gandawidjaja and Monique Gandawidjaja swept their sets as San Marino improved to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in league. Sarah Gealer also swept singles.

Marshall 13, Sierra Canyon 6: The Eagles’ No. 1 doubles team of Emma Goguen and Maria Avetisyan swept their sets Thursday afternoon to pick up their first Delphic League win. With that result, Marshall improved to 1-1 in league, while visiting Sierra Canyon remains winless through two league games.

Webb 10, Mayfield 8: The Cubs dropped to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in league with the tough Prep League loss Friday.

Singles’ player Brynn Evans won two sets, while teammates Erika Lin and Mireya Hernandez also won a set apiece.

The doubles’ teams of Mary Baggott and Eve Marcussen, Catherine Philo and Maureen McConnell and Christa Ellis with Nicole Johnson also combined for four victories.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

La Cañada 3, San Marino 0: Miceala Anderson finished with a match-high 13 kills, Kendall Walbrecht added 12 kills, Kirstie Shurie contributed 37 assists and Catherine Horner totaled 17 digs for the Spartans, who improved to 13-7 overall and 5-0 in league with the Rio Hondo League victory Thursday.

Kathleen Sloan led the Titans with 10 kills, while Amanda Yee tallied 21 assists and Joie Fan dug 23 balls. San Marino dropped to 12-2 overall and 3-2 in league.

La Salle 3, Bishop Montgomery 2: Caroline Knop had 39 digs Thursday to help the visiting Lancers rally for a 25-27, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-9 Del Rey League win. La Salle (16-4, 4-0 in league) received 39 assists from Kathryn Haderlein and 11 blocks and 13 kills from Diamond Ridley-Piere.

Sierra Canyon 3, Marshall Fundamental 0: Emma Present finished with seven kills for Marshall Fundamental, which fell, 25-13, 25-7, 25-19, in a Delphic League road match Thursday. Ruth Kamm collected five kills for Marshall Fundamental (1-4 in league).

South Pasadena 3, Temple City 0: The Tigers posted a Rio Hondo League victory Thursday and improved to 9-4, 3-2 in league.

Burbank 3, Pasadena 1: The host Bulldogs fell Thursday in a Pacific League match. Pasadena dropped to 4-6, 3-5 in league.

BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY

Muir at the Pacific League Meet: Mustangs’ senior Ashton Malone finished 34th individually in a time of 18 minutes and 09.24 seconds. Malone was Muir’s lone entry.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Mater Dei 14, South Pasadena 7: Andrew Clauss finished with a team-high four goals for the Tigers (12-8) on Friday in a Servite Tournament match.

Pasadena 13, Arcadia 6: The Bulldogs evened their Pacific League record at 2-2 with a road win Thursday afternoon. Pasadena is now 10-6 overall, while Arcadia falls to 4-5 and 1-2.

MEN’S SOCCER

Cal Lutheran 4, Caltech 0: The Beavers fell to 1-12 and 1-8 in the Southern Callifornia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a home loss on Saturday.

Pasadena City College 2, Long Beach 2: Irving Rosales scored two goals for the Lancers, who are now 6-4-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the South Coast Conference after Friday’s game.

Rosales scored in the 26th minute off an assist from Michael Alcaraz and then in the 65th minute on a header of an assist from David Gonzalez.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Long Beach City College 2, Pasadena City College 0: The Lancers extended their winless skid to five games on Friday afternoon after losing a home match to the Vikings at Robinson Stadium.

Pasadena gave up a goal in the first minute of play and again on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute to fall to 4-6-3 overall and 1-4-1 in South Coast Conference. Since a 1-0 conference-opening win over El Camino College Compton Center on Sept. 27, the Lancers have lost four games and tied in one.

MEN’S WATER POLO

La Verne 19, Caltech 3: Adam Khan completed a hat trick for the Beavers in Saturday’s road loss.
