Following a memorable Winter Olympics debut in Sochi, Russia, La Cañada Flintridge’s Kate Hansen will be back in her hometown this week, making an appearance at the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA on Tuesday before appearances at Los Gringos Locos Wednesday and Thursday.

Hansen, who took 10th place in the women’s singles luge at the Olympics in February and became a social media darling in large part due to her pre-luge dancing that was part of her warm-up routine, will be on hand from 7:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA.

From 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Hansen, a La Cañada High graduate, will sign autographs and take pictures in the patio room. Following that, she’s scheduled to emcee the YMCA’s adult dodgeball championship.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Hansen, who has appeared on “The Today Show,” “The Jimmy Kimmel Show,” and “The Queen Latifah Show,” will be on hand at Los Gringos Locos from 5-8 p.m. each night to sign autographs, take pictures and greet fans.
