La Cañada Crime: Home ransacked while owners on vacation

Nov. 1-10
Burglary: 2000 block of Lyans Drive, before 7 p.m. on Nov. 10. A men’s necklace, men’s wristwatch, and U.S. currency in various amounts were stolen from a home while the owners were on vacation. The house was found ransacked.
Nov. 9
Burglary: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard, between 1 and 3:15 p.m. A briefcase was stolen from a vehicle. The rear passenger window was also shattered.
Petty theft: 5000 block of Alta Canyada Road, between 2:44 and 3:20 p.m. Multiple ladders and a plastic bin containing alarm parts were stolen from a truck parked in a driveway.
Intoxication in public: 700 block of Foothill Boulevard, 2:08 p.m. A 24-year-old La Cañada Flintridge woman was arrested for showing signs of being intoxicated in public.
Nov. 6
Petty theft: 1700 block of Foothill Boulevard, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. A wallet, California driver’s license, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Nov. 5
Unauthorized use of identifying information: 4900 block of Oakwood Avenue. A woman’s personal identifying information was used to purchase items online.
Possession of concentrated marijuana: Valley Sun Lane, 12:50 a.m. A 23-year-old Azusa man was found in possession of concentrated marijuana. The driver was stopped due to a modified exhaust and modified suspension on his vehicle, according to the report.
Burglary: 4900 block of Hillard Avenue, before 6:20 a.m. on Nov. 5. A wallet containing a California driver’s license and various cards, laptop computer, black canvas laptop bag, prescription sunglasses, an MP3 player and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen from a vehicle.
Burglary: 3100 block of Santa Inez Way, before 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 5. A book of blank checks was stolen from a bedroom in a home. Other parts of the home were found ransacked.
Attempted burglary: 4500 block of Daleridge Road, before 6:35 a.m. on Nov. 5. Window on back door shattered.

Drug possession, driving with a suspended license: 2800 block of Foothill Boulevard, 12:26 a.m. A 55-year-old Montrose man was found in possession of methamphetamine.

Grand theft: 4300 block of Ocean View Boulevard, before 1 a.m. on Nov. 8. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
Nov. 6
Grand theft: 1900 block of Waltonia Drive, between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. A laptop computer, car key, satchel bag and wedding ring were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
