The La Cañada Flintridge Library is now accepting entries for the 35th annual Bookmark Contest. Operated through the Los Angeles County Public Library System, the contest asks students in grades K-12 to draw or design a color bookmark that incorporates books or reading and follows a selected theme.

This year’s theme is “Dream in Color.” Winning submissions will be selected among the following categories: kindergarten through second-grade; grades three to five; grades six to eight; and grades nine to 12.

Guidelines stipulate that artists must live in Los Angeles County. Only one entry per person is allowed, and entries submitted in person at any county library branch will be accepted through Oct. 11.

Entry forms are available and may be dropped off at the La Cañada Flintridge branch, 4545 N. Oakwood Ave. They may also be downloaded at colapublib.org/bookmark.
