Vandalism: 5100 block of Angeles Crest Highway. A woman contacted authorities to report that someone had made a half-inch diameter hole in her living room window, possibly with a BB gun. Though the victim was uncertain about when this had occurred, she guessed it was sometime between midnight and 6 p.m., the time she noticed the hole. While photographing the damage, a deputy found a small copper BB at the bottom frame of the double-sided window.

False impersonation: 4800 block of El Sereno Avenue. A man said he received a letter containing a pocket registration card made for an alarm company employee, and was surprised to see his name and address on the ID card. When the victim contacted the West Sacramento company that had issued the card, he was told that someone used his date of birth and social security number to obtain it. The victim canceled the card.

Illegal dumping: 4100 block of Ramsdell Avenue. A woman reported that while she was away on a business trip in Palm Springs, someone illegally dumped a yellow two-seat sofa on her driveway. A neighbor noticed the item’s appearance last Wednesday. When the victim returned to her home two days later, it was still there. She said similar incidents had happened in the past, and that she’s removed the waste at her own expense. A deputy took photos of the property and the sofa, which were later booked into evidence.
