The La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce announced this week its support of a school district parcel tax measure, which will appear on the ballot March 4.

“Supporting our community — our entire community — is nothing new,” Pat Anderson, president and chief executive of the city’s chamber of commerce, said in a statement. “In the early 1960s when the La Cañada Unified School District was formed the Chamber issued a solid endorsement and again in 2009 when the (most recent) parcel tax was voted on.”

Wes Seastrom, chairman of the chamber’s board, said in a statement that the city’s public schools are very important to the community as a whole and the measure affects everyone from residents to commercial property owners.
