LCF Country Club golf course to get new water system
The La Cañada Flintridge Country Club’s golf course is poised to get a makeover.
During the 2009 Station fire, water was used to douse flames and the golf course’s irrigation system was damaged. Now, the club plans to install a computer-controlled irrigation system.
Last week, the club kicked off the renovation with a groundbreaking ceremony.
“I look forward to ushering in a new era of golf at La Cañada Flintridge,” Randy Dreyfuss, club president, said in a statement. “I’m thrilled that we were able to help our community during the devastating Station fire, and we look forward to finally putting this incident behind us and once again delivering a verdant, beautiful golf course for our members.”
