Methodists host Easter week activities

Share

More than 200 people of all ages turned out March 28 when La Cañada United Methodist Church held its annual Easter party on the church’s Berkshire Place campus. About 45 dozen hard-boiled eggs were dyed and there were Easter egg hunts, crafts, games including a water balloon toss, and an appearance by the Easter bunny.

This Sunday, the church will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with two services. A 6 a.m. Easter sunrise service, when Pastor Elaine Cho speaks on “From Emptiness to Fullness,” will be followed by breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. The 10:30 a.m. worship features special music and Pastor Cho’s sermon “The Resurrection Story: Feast in the House.”

Child care and Sunday school for early elementary children is available during this service.

Leading up to Easter, members of the local church will participate in a Maundy Thursday service at Tujunga United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. April 2 and a Good Friday Service at the La Cañada church at 7 p.m. on April 3.
