At the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day, floats from two local communities brought home awards.

The float created by the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn., with the theme “Up a Creek,” won the Bob Hope Humor Award.

The Burbank Tournament of Roses Assn.’s float, with the theme “Are We There Yet?,” was given the Theme Award. It features a family of raccoons traveling using various modes of transportation.
