How We Tested the Sheets

For my Cariloha sheets review, I slept on the Resort Bamboo Bed Sheets for 30 nights and washed them three times. Throughout this time, I paid close attention to any changes in comfort and overall performance to provide insight into the long-term use of Cariloha sheets.

Features of the Resort Bamboo Bed Sheets

  • Made from 100% viscose derived from bamboo.
  • Made with a premium sateen weave finish and 400 thread-count bamboo.
  • Eight colors are available online.
  • Available in Queen, King, Cal-King, and Split-King Sizes.
  • Sizes fit mattress sizes from 60” x 80” up to 76” x 80.
  • The Queen, King, and Cal-King sets include one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. The Split-King has one flat sheet, two fitted sheets, and two pillowcases.

Pros of Cariloha Bamboo Sheets

  • The sheets are very soft and smooth.
  • The cooling effect is great for hotter months and warm climates.
  • They’re lightweight, breathable, and easy to sleep in.

Cons of Cariloha Bamboo Sheets

  • The elastic corner straps came off occasionally.
  • There’s no head/toe tag to identify the sheet orientation to the mattress.
  • The price tag is kind of high, especially considering the problems mentioned above.

Quality

These sheets are made from 400-thread-count bamboo viscose, which creates a really soft sleep surface. The feeling is similar to silk but not so smooth it makes you fall out of bed. Their premium quality and comfort made me excited to return to bed after a long day.

Sizing

For this bamboo sheets review, I tested the queen-size sheets. They fit my Purple mattress with plenty of flexibility and wiggle room. The pillowcases were also big enough to fit my large pillows. I liked that I didn’t have to struggle to put them on the bed, but they stayed in place pretty well. However, the elastic corner straps came off sometimes.

Temperature and Breathability

I was pleasantly surprised by the temperature control and breathability of these sheets. They do a fantastic job at regulating temperatures. They kept me so cool that I had to add an extra blanket to my comforter for warmth during the night. These sheets truly excel at maintaining a consistently cool and comfortable sleep environment.

Texture

The Resort Bamboo Bed Sheets went onto my bed pretty wrinkle-free, but I noticed some wrinkles when I woke up after sleeping in them all night. However, this wasn’t a huge deal because they weren’t noticeable when I made my bed.

Durability

The Resort Sheets had simple wash instructions that were easy to remember and follow. They came out of the washer and moved to the dryer easily. They seem pretty durable. I only tested them for 30 nights, but I’d be surprised if they tear anytime soon.

Price

The Resort Sheets cost $289.00. This price is within the expected range for luxury items, but it feels a little high with the few minor issues I encountered. At that price, I would prefer the corners to stay snug every night.

Final Thoughts: Are Cariloha Sheets Worth It?

Honestly, there’s a lot to love about these sheets from Cariloha. These bamboo sheets are cooling and breathable, so I slept comfortably during the night. The soft, silky texture was also great and invited me to return each night. My biggest complaint is that the elastic corner sometimes comes off, but that also happens with many other types of sheets. And despite their high price tag, they feel very durable, making them a worthy investment in my mind!
