La Cañada Junior Women’s Club seeks new members; hosts meet-and-greet events

Share

Area residents interested in learning about joining the La Cañada Junior Women’s Club for the coming year are invited to attend a meet-and-greet and apply for provisional membership by Oct. 18.

The philanthropic organization has served the community for more than four decades, raising money for its endeavors through rummage sales, auctions and other fundraising events. In recent years it has earmarked gifts to the Ronald McDonald House in Pasadena and Five Acres in Altadena. Monthly, members prepare lunch for people in need who are served by Pasadena’s Union Station.

The group recently hosted two events for prospective members, one a wine and cheese event and the other a coffee klatch. Both were held at the La Cañada home of Georgina Mueller, who co-chairs provisional membership for the Juniors.

To learn more about the next meet-and-greet gathering for potential members, contact Mueller, at (858) 354-0214, or via email to georginaandtony@aol.com; or co-chair Laura Plourde, (818) 292-3383, or via email ldpiller@gmail.com. The club plans to host another get-together for prospective members at the end of this month. For more information visit https://www.lcjwc.org.
