Camp season kicks off in La Cañada

Summer is here and it is time to channel the energy of young people into outdoor activities and crafts until they drop from fatigue at the end of the day.

The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge’s Camp Runamuk! is in high gear, offering different themes with each weekly session filled with sports, arts and crafts, acting, cooking and other activities for children 5 through 8. Camp starts anew each week and runs through Aug. 10.

This week featured an Olympic theme as the world prepares for the games in London later this summer.
