Triple Eagle for local family

Share

The Rahtz family is used to doing things in threes, but even so enjoyed a rare honor Sunday when triplets Adam, Brett and Chad Rahtz all earned Eagle Scout honors.

The brothers, 18, who live in La Crescenta and recently graduated from St. Francis High School, earned their badges with different community projects. Chad Rahtz, who is headed to St. Lawrence University in New York, volunteered to help the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn. with a storage problem.

Brett Rahtz, born with his brothers at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, did some demolition and construction at the La Cañada Flintridge Community Center as his Eagle Scout project, and is heading to Chico State University. Adam Rahtz oversaw the rebuilding of an Angeles National Forest information board that was ruined by the Station fire, and plans to go to Pasadena City College on his way to a career in the forest service.
