Foothill Force Jump Rope Team hosting jump rope competition at La Cañada High

Seventeen area students are among those participating Saturday when the Foothill Force Jump Rope Team hosts the USA Jump Rope Region 8 Tournament for more than 100 athletes across California and Arizona at La Cañada High, 4463 Oak Grove Drive. The competition will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the public is invited to watch.

Competition-trained jumpers, ages 8 to 38, will compete in 12 events. The La Cañada residents competing include Soren Ryssdal, Berit Oxley, Megan Oh, Shelby Kim, Skyla Park, Carly Witteman, Julia Kim, Allie Foster, Lara Kang, Daniella DiPaolo, Charolotte Spry, Jenna Dorse, Eza Bromley, Emma Sheehy, Maya Sahai, Dane Reeb and Ethan Angold.
