Children fished for rubber ducks, painted eggs and planted bean sprouts last Friday at the Crescenta-Canada Family YMCA’s Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival.

The second annual event drew close to 300 children, more than the previous event, said Jackie Shaumyan, director of membership at the YMCA center. The Easter celebration also featured face painting, a bounce house and a scavenger hunt.

“Everything was a great hit,” said Shaumyan. “It was a nice place to bring families together and bring the community together.”
