Charity golf event offers $1 million prize

Golfers have a couple of weeks to warm up for a May 17 charity event at the Angeles National Golf Club that will award $1 million to one person who hits a hole-in-one.

To qualify, participants must first raise $1,500 for an all-day golf challenge or $500 for an afternoon tee-off. At an after party overlooking the golf course, golfers and non-golfers can enjoy dinner and drinks from 5 to 7 p.m. Raffle tickets for trips to New York and Maui can be purchased for $20 each.

The event benefits the Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, a nonprofit welfare agency in Los Angeles County.
