Good weather for Kiwanis Club breakfast

The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada AM presented another French Toast Breakfast to the community on Memorial Day weekend, in conjunction with the Fiesta Days celebration sponsored by the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association. The breakfast’s chairman was Rosemary Hook.

Good weather and fine food enticed nearly 600 people to Memorial Park to enjoy the meal, served up by members of the Franklin High School Key Club, which is sponsored by the morning Kiwanis Club. More than 750 tickets were sold, with funds raised and earmearked for various philanthropic groups.

Kiwanis AM members and their spouses helped set up, prepare and cook the breakfast of French toast, sausage, strawberries, juice and coffee. Businesses donating food for the event were Ralphs La Cañada, Ralphs La Crescenta, McDonalds, Greenburg Cheese and the farmers market.
