Kids donate candy to troops through YMCA

Children donated about 1,000 pounds of Halloween candy they collected last month to soldiers overseas.

The effort was organized by YMCA of the Foothills to encourage children to lead a healthy lifestyle. Three donors each won a new bicycle. The candy, collected by elementary school students, will be given to Operation Gratitude, which supports troops.
