La Cañada Junior Women's Club organizes Meals on Heels once a month at a member's home and delivers the sack lunches to Union Station in Pasadena.
Two weeks ago, members gathered at Julie Del Rivo's La Cañada home to assemble 50 sack lunches for families. Each member who attended the event brought food items to contribute to the lunch bags.
Meals on Heels chairwomen Ginger Wilson and Tina Radabaugh say the philanthropic project is ideal for new members to get to know each other and for members to bring their children in helping to fill lunch bags with sandwiches, chips, fruit, juice, and a baked item.
