Crescenta-Cañada students set butterflies free

Children attending Crescenta-Cañada Nursery School watched recently as their caterpillars morphed into butterflies. Busy Bears (4-year-olds) and Darling Ducklings (3-year-olds) gathered at Memorial Park to set their butterflies free with school director Nita Imm.

The school has been teaching and caring for preschool aged children for more than 55 years. As a cooperative, it is guided by a volunteer board of directors. Parents join together to manage the day-to-day activities and maintenance of the school. CCNS is Christian based and is non-denominational. It meets on the campus of Lutheran Church in the Foothills, 1700 Foothill Blvd. For more information, call (818) 952-2524 or visit www.ccnsonline.com.
