Charting the course for La Cañada High School

In other news about the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation, the organization hosted “High School and Beyond: Charting the Course” Feb. 21 in the auditorium at La Cañada High School. It was the group’s first event designed specifically for parents of middle school students.

The panel included Mark Rasic, a USC admissions officer; Thomas Buckley, a Bank of America financial expert; James Cartnal, the assistant principal at LCHS; Sally Spangler, college and guidance counselor at LCHS and 7/8 counselors Shannon Brascia and Joy Dunn.

Also speaking were Jinny Dalbeck, representing the foundation’s summer school program at the high school, and three of the high school’s seniors.

More than 200 people attended the 90-minute event.
