Assisteens help with tree festival

The Assistance League of Glendale earlier this month held its annual Festival of Trees at the Glendale Hilton, for which members decorate trees and hold an opportunity drawing. Proceeds from the event, which has been an ongoing tradition since 1976, are used for the organization’s philanthropic efforts in the community.
The Assisteens, daughters of league members, helped make the Dec. 7 event a success, helping set up ahead of time, placing decorations on the trees and then working the festival.
“It was truly a great experience for all of us,” said Assisteen Lara Minassians.
Other Assisteens lending a hand for the event were Rachel Achterman, Savannah Baum, Hannah Campbell, Lauren Cota, Danielle Fabian, Sydney Flynn, Rachel Franklin, Samantha Gilmore, Emily Haug, Mallory Hill, Grace Kasemeier, Ashley Lawrence, Ali McNevin, Olivia Ramirez, Alex Sato, Anna Steely and Kelsey Warda.
