GOP campaigner to speak at luncheon

Bill Saracino, a longtime Republican political campaigner and Glendale resident, will speak on the topic of golden opportunities for the GOP in 2016 when he addresses the La Crescenta Valley Republican Women during a luncheon meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oakmont Country Club, 3100 Country Club Drive, Glendale.
Saracino was a volunteer in 1964 for presidential candidate Barry Goldwater. He worked for Los Angeles City Councilman Arthur K. Snyder and state Sen. Bill Richardson. He was a delegate for Ronald Reagan in the 1976 and 1980 GOP national conventions, served as chief of staff for the Assembly Republican caucus and was appointed by Gov. George Deukmejian as deputy director of the state Department of Commerce. He has managed more than 100 political campaigns and is the national director of the 2016 Ben Carson Super PAC.
