Las Candelas thrills with science

Among their many civic endeavors, Las Candelas members provide children at Hillsides Education Center an entertaining program based on science at work. Everything taught appears to be a magic trick but is based on scientific principles of chemistry, light, magnetism, optical illusions, physics and mathematics.

Funding for these programs and others at Hathaway-Sycamores, Didi Hirsch Mental Health, YWCA, Glendale Healthy Kids and Ascencia Homeless Shelter will be funded by Las Candelas Biennial Benefit to be held Monday, March 2, at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel.
