Civility: Fall 2010 fashion trends
There are cycles of fashion trends from which to choose clothing styles that will personally work for you. Fashion trends evolve, disappear and reappear. As I have previously indicated, your personal style is based on your clothing personality, coloring, bone structure, energy intensity and body structure.
Education is essential to work through the many choices that you will have each season. New trends are introduced before each season. Sometimes, it is difficult to think about purchasing bathing suits when snow is on the ground, or purchasing coats when the weather is 102 degrees. Be aware so that you can make the most educated choices.
Styles: minimalistic, preppy, prairie, safari, surfer.
Colors: fuchsia, soft green, tangerine, grayed lavender, tomato red, lavender blue, light and middle value grey, yellow, magenta, and beige.
Dresses: beaded, printed, smocked, denim, maxi and minis, split-neck, trapeze, circle prints, leaf prints, pleats and ruffles, ruching, strapless A-line dresses, romantic sheers with eyelet and lace, and shirt dresses.
Prints: ethnic, stripes, zebra, florals, tie-dyed, dip-dyed, abstracts, large bolds, ethnics, snake, giraffe, watercolor florals, plaids, nautical, leopards.
Fabrics: silk georgette, denim, leather, suede, chambray, sheer, mesh, chiffon and eyelet.
Designs/ Appliqués/ Embellishments: embroidery, ruffles, metallic, sequins, zippers, buckles, ruching, grommets, beads and Swarovski crystals.
Shorts: rompers, jacket with shorts, cuffed roll-tab shorts, pleated, Bermuda cuffed shorts, stretched denim.
Pants: slim pants, cropped, frayed, baggy, straight-leg mid-calf jeans, pleated, high-waisted, skinny straight, cropped leggings and cargo
Tops: Twinset sweaters, draped cardigans, striped tees, tees with sequins/butterfly graphics, floral print tank tops with fishtail hems, one-button cardigans, sleeveless/buttonless cardigans, ruffled tank tops with florals, tie-dyed roll-tab sleeves, halters and peasant-styles.
Shoes: espadrilles, wedges, boat shoes, faux croc, suede flats, ballerina, platforms, high and narrow heels, peep toes, snakeskin, blush-toned pumps, champagne suede, embellished flat sandals, stilettos, eyelet and metallic.
Jewelry: silver and crystal bangles, Lucite, metal, resin and gunmetal, tortoise, glam watches, cuffs, quartz, metallic, wooden beads, 14k and l8k rose gold, combination with large costume piece with delicate fine jewelry.
Choosing wisely, with an education will help you to purchase within your budget. Remember, YOU are a designer original.
